The public Centralbaltic Job Ferry Final Conference on the cross-border labour market mobility in the Central Baltic region will take a place at the University of Latvia Main Building (Raina Street 19, Small Hall), Riga, Latvia on 19 March 2013
from 9:30 to 17:00. The Conference will focus on the recent trends of the labour market and labour mobility in the Central Baltic region and beyond, as well as opportunities offered by a new internet platform www.cbjobferry.eu.

On March 19, 2013 the conference of the “Centralbaltic Job Ferry” project on the cross border labour mobility issues in the Central Baltic region took place at the University of Latvia (UL). Around 50 conference participants including representatives of the European Commission Representation in Latvia, Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 Joint Technical Secretariat, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Latvia, regional labour market institutions (EURES, career consultants, etc.), universities, professional education establishments, employers organizations, enterprises, labour unions, state and private employment services, as well as cross-border regions of the European Union (Polish – German cross-border region and German – Czech cross-border region), representatives from organizations and projects dealing with the labour market, mobility and regional development issues gathered in Riga.

On March 14^th, 2013 “Centralbaltic Job Ferry” participated in the „Career Opportunity Day 2013” which took place at the Main Building of the University of Latvia.

The main topic of this year was related to the development of personal abilities and qualification improvement. Students and all interested parties had an opportunity to acquire useful information about job and internship possibilities in the different companies and qualification improvement.

Centalbaltic Job Ferry project had an opportunity to introduce students and the broad public with the possibilities of platform www.cbjobferry.eu which offers mutually comparable information on the most demanded professions (more than 200 professions) in the Central Baltic region in five languages.
